I am relatively new to the breed having owned them for 8 yrs now, i originally wanted a Newfoundland, but then by sheer chance i came across an advert for Pyrenean Mountain Dog Puppies and was immediately smitten!

 

Having never owned a pyrenean before Bentley soon taught me all i needed to know and he is my most loyal companion and indeed correct to breed highly intelligent he can open the back door by himself and has this innate sixth sense of knowing what im thinking, especially when i am quietly thinking about taking the dogs for a walk and low and behold he is up wagging his tail and waiting at the door!

I soon found that owning a Pyrenean as a household pet is like having your very own second shadow, there is nowhere sacred in the house that my beloved friends don't follow me just to keep check that i'm ok! Not even alas the toilet......

I also soon learnt that white hair was to become a regular part of my daily attire and i daren't care to remember how many hoovers my Pyr's hairs have destroyed.

But with all this said i couldnt ask for a more gentle, trustworthy and loyal friend that Pyreneans become.

They have the most amazing temperament especially as far as children are concered and an endless supply of patience which Savannah and Bentley display on a daily basis to my lively growing one year old daughter.

Some 6 months after buying Bentley i rescued a Pyrenean called Zena who is Savannah's mother and the Grandmother to my soon to be expected litter due.

I soon caught the showing bug and avidly travelled up and down the country to show my prized, pampered pooches, Alas i have taken a break from showing due to my 2 older daughters passion for competing their ponies which takes up many a weekend.

I am hoping to show a puppy from this litter and can't thank Yvonne from Kalkasi Pyreneans enough for allowing me to use one of her amazing dogs Kwincey who is not only beautiful and successful but also like Savannah has the most endearing temperament.

Our Pyr's are part of our family as are any puppies that we breed, this litter will be my fourth litter and i can't wait to meet the new bundles of joy!
